Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha urged the US authorities to investigate the connections of US former FBI agent Charles McGonigal with Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim, which he calls “the governor”.
“The code of silence is being used also by the governor who always has something to say. Now, for a scandal that shocked the world, she isn’t saying a single word. How is that possible? What are the governor’s interests?”, asked Berisha.
“In her kind, the governor is a McGonigal, against which many accusations for corruption have been made. If McGonigal started with the manipulations of the Russian files, the governor continued her work with slanders and attacks, proving she has no principles and values”.
“I’d like to appeal to the FBI and other US law-enforcing agencies to investigate her attitude concerning McGonigal. Has she informed her country for his meetings, for his activities, and frequent visits to Albania? This is very important for the authorities of a friendly nation”.
