Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha described Democrat MP Enkelejd Alibeaj as submissive to Premier Edi Rama’s orders following Alibeaj’s decision to expulse four Democratic Party MPs from the Democrat parliamentary group.
Speaking to media reporters outside the Democratic Party headquarters, Berisha said Alibeaj only stomped some more on his own dignity. The Democrat chief guaranteed that the parliamentary group will be a group that protects the interests of the citizens in the Parliament.
“He is a miserable obedient to Edi Rama’s orders. He has been misused extremely by Edi Rama. He complied with an order of Rama stomping even more on his own dignity”, said Berisha.
Asked whether he would accept Ervin Salianji as Head of the Democratic Party parliamentary group, Berisha responded he will respect the will of the Democrat MPs.
“Salianji is vice chairman of the group. I will accept indubitably the will of the Democrat MPs. You know about (Tirana Mayor) Erion Veliaj’s latest scandal with opening the tenders to take the money himself. Do not think it is an isolated case. You will know more about this person that is insatiable with stealing the taxes of the Albanian citizens”.
