Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha alleged today the death of one of the suspects of the waste incinerators affair was a mafia job. Enver Sheshi, 59, arrested as one of the suspects of the waste incinerators affair, died of a cardiac arrest in a Tirana hospital on Sunday. The former Prime Minister wrote the death is suspicious.

“The suspicious deaths, the mafia-like eliminations in Edi Rama’s hellish prisons, have become a tragic and frequent occurrence. The media reported the death of Enver Sheshi, 59, arrested for a fraudulent scheme in the waste incinerators affair, in a time when the scheme bosses Rama, Agaçi and Ahmetaj continue the thefts with their incinerators company. Strong suspicions have risen for his detention in custody”, wrote Berisha.

“According to some tips, his death was organized by the waste incinerators mafia because he knew many things about the incinerators. Others say he had decided to testify in details for the fraud scheme in Fier’s waste incinerators and how the money was shared”.

Berisha expressed his condolences to Sheshi’s family and appealed to the People's Advocate for an immediate inquiry for the death.
