The Albanian Democratic Party appealed to NATO today to increase its monitoring of the Albanian space, worried for the national security after the Albanian government put the port of Durrës at the disposal of Vučić and Putin, a sign that Albania’s geostrategic functions serve more to the interests of enemies rather than national interests.

Democratic Party Secretary General Flamur Noka condemned the breaking of the Western embargo against Russia by the Albania and called for NATO's attention on the recently discovered facts.

“Vučić’s champion and vassal Edi Rama not only defended publicly in every international meeting the Serbian breaking of EU and NATO sanctions imposed on Russia, but, according to the Montenegrin media, has also broken the embargo himself”, said Noka in a statement.

“Ships with Russian and Serbian goods, denounced several times by the Democratic Party, destined for Serbia and Russia, have used the port of Durrës, as the wide open gate of Europe, the haven of corruption and international traffic, serving as oxygen tubing for Putin, his war and genocide machine against Ukraine”.

“For a NATO member and EU candidate country, this is doubly reprehensible and scandalous. This is also an open betrayal to the Albanian nation. This international criminal act proves that Edi Rama, for his power, is ready to connect with the old and new enemies of Albania and the West, and use the space of a NATO country to supply and facilitate the operations of a regime that is at war with the Alliance”.

“The Democratic Party strongly condemns this act of sabotage and betrayal from Rama and his tools, which are ready to auction off the security of the country for a handful of money. Edi Rama is a danger to the national security as long as he puts his territory and government at the service of the enemies of the Albanian nation”.
