Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha expressed his party’s support and solidarity to university teachers who protested against the government and condemned Premier Edi Rama’s cynicism. Berisha called on the citizens to join the teachers’ protest.

“I’d like to express the full support of the Democratic Party to the teachers in protest. They organized a powerful rally today outside the Polytechnic University for their legitimate requests”, Berisha addressed to the Democrat MPs in the meeting of the parliamentary group today.

“I guarantee them that the Democratic Party supports every request they are addressing today to an arrogant, scamming and thief government. Their requests are actual screams to rescue the university education in Albania, which is rolling down”.

“Edi Rama responded with cynicism, hate and despise to the higher education unions and their requests. What’s more serious is that he promises a 30% raise of the teachers’ salaries funded by the students’ fees. No one in the world does it, except in Tito’s Yugoslavia in the so-called Yugoslav self-administration”.
