The Democratic Party continued today to expose the corruptive affair of the waste incinerators. MP Belind Këlliçi said the government gave the funds granted by EU for the agriculture to the administrator of the Tirana incinerator to build his 8500 square meters farm.

“The Albanian Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) announced the benefiter of the €310,000 grant from the non-returnable EU fund for increasing the agriculture capacities to the citizen Elton Bualli”, said Këlliçi in his statement.

“Elton Bualli will build a 8500 square meters farm in the Sharra area. He bought this plot of land a year ago from the incinerator company of Tirana, where he is an administrator and representative, with signature rights. So, from an employee, in less than a year, Elton Bualli became a landlord, an administrator of the incinerator company and, finally, a ‘farmer’.”

“In the interest of Albanian taxpayers, the Democratic Party will ask today five questions to AZHBR, SPAK (the Special Structure against Corruption) and the government:

How did this ‘miracle’ happen?

Why did the concessionaire sell the land to one employee?

Who is trying to hide behind others’ names?

The company does not own the landfill, it is a concession: By what right are 8500 square meters sold to Bualli?

Elton Bualli has a special notary procure, and he represents and acts on behalf of Tirana’s incinerator. Has this gentleman been investigated by SPAK?”

“Elton Bualli obtained the €310,000 only after hiring the Consulting Se Partners, which is owned 80% by Stela Gugallja. There is a search warrant for her by SPAK over abuses with the incinerator of Elbasan and yet she is able to offer consulting for the AZHBR funds, also performing all the application’s acts. What kind of international warrant are we talking about”, asked Këlliçi. “Where are they looking for her and haven’t found her?”
