Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha addressed to the Albanian Special Structure against Corruption (SPAK) from the parliament today, asking why it has not investigated the highest officials of the country and ruling Socialist Party connected to the scandals of the waste incinerators.

Berisha asked why Premier Edi Rama, minister of reconstruction Arben Ahmetaj, secretary general of the prime ministry Engjëll Agaçi, and Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj have not been investigated and interviews concerning the corruptive affair.

“Why hasn’t the ‘new justice’ (as the Socialists prefer to call it) investigated yet Ahmetaj, Agaçi, and Veliaj for the terrible affair of the incinerators, signed as a contract by the Prime Minister – accepting of violating the law – through an unlawful procedure that only the thieves of the highest level can use?”, asked the former Prime Minister.
