Democrat MP Belind Këlliçi commemorated today the 27^th anniversary of Albania’s joining the Council of Europe, saying that every step ahead towards the European integration was made during the Democratic Party ruling.

“This is an actual fact. Any political interpretation in this point has no historic value”, wrote Këlliçi.

“The accession in the Council of Europe, international organizations, NATO, free movement in the Schengen area, and fulfilling the conditions for the status of a candidate country all happened when the country was governed by the Democratic Party, when the European integration was in the agenda instead of the alliance with Serbia”.

“Rama took us away of Europe for nine years. Every year of his ruling is a year away from Europe, lost time for Albanians. Without an Albanian serious state, the Republic of Kosovo will never see help from us and we cannot become a role model either. Kosovo’s European integration is strongly depended on our diplomatic performance, on the credibility of the Albanian government and the standard of living it provides for the citizens instead of itself”.
