Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha has congratulated the United States of Amerika on the occasion of its Independence Day.
The former Albanian President and Prime Minister posted a collage of pictures from his meeting with US Presidents and high officials.
“Today, the great American nation celebrates its birthday, the Independence Day of the United States of America”, Berisha wrote on his Facebook page.
“Albanians and friends worldwide join the celebrations gratefully. The Americans celebrate today proudly their country’s independence as the superpower of freedom, they celebrate as the nation that has done more than any other nation for the freedom of other nations, including Albanians’ freedom. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the (diplomatic) relations between Albania and the United States.
The (Albanian) Democratic Party has given the biggest contribution in history for these relations and remains determined to do even more in the next 100 years.
