Democratic Party MP Edi Paloka repeated his criticism against US Ambassador Yuri Kim for her meddling in the Albanian justice affairs, like in the case of the complaint of MP Enkelejd Alibeaj against the ruling of Tirana’s Court that recognized the decisions of the National Democrat Assembly of December 11, 2021.

Paloka said that the Ambassador Kim’s acts are at the level of a diplomatic scandal, adding that she is stomping with both feet on the principles on which the United States itself stands.

“This is a shameful act in the juridical aspect, because no one has the right to complain a ruling for that case. Clearly we have to do with a political interference from the power, but we also have the confirmed intervention of Ambassador Kim. She confirmed she has interfered in the Albanian justice. This is an act at the levels of a diplomatic scandal for which we have reacted. The Democratic Party is one, the membership will decide who will lead it”, Paloka said for the television A2CNN.

“No embassy can decide (who leads the party). All these acts are simply aggravating a scandal that since a year has had only one goal, which is the crashing of the opposition. We do not confuse the Ambassador’s bearings with those of the United States, because that would be an even bigger scandal. The Ambassador has exceeded every competence by meddling with the Albanian justice and politics. The Ambassador is stomping with both feet on the principles on which the United States itself stands”.
