Former Albanian Premier Sali Beriosha said his successor Edi Rama is an unbalanced person and his stint as the head of the government is approaching its end. Berisha was talking to media reporters in Shkodra where he participated in the commemoration of the April 2, 1991 martyrs, murdered in protest by police in the last days of the communist dictatorship.

Berisha responded to questions about the new President of the Republic as the term of incumbent President Ilir Meta expires in July, but said he would not consider Rama’s proposals.

“We are in opposition, we do not have names to propose for the President”, said Berisha, adding that he wouldn’t vote for any candidature Rama might put forward.

“Absolutely not! We will absolutely not vote for Edi Rama’s candidates. Voting for Rama’s candidates means making his copy president. A consensus with Edi Rama is like kissing Jude”.
