The historic leader of the Albanian Democrats Sali Berisha said in a press conference today that his return happened on March 6.
“March 6 proved a truth: Sali Berisha’s return with a support of 31% of the Albanian electorate”, said Berisha.
“I had the most intensive campaign ever in the elections. Since Edi Rama arbitrarily took the (Democratic Party) logo and gave it to his mold (Basha), and since the Lady Governor (US Ambassador Kim) entitled herself to meddle in the campaign against Sali Berisha in the most brutal and antidemocratic way, I wanted to show to the electors that I am Sali Berisha. It is out of any sort of imagination that I may deflect from this course, from my decision declared to the Democrats that I will run for the chair of the Democratic Party, but guaranteeing equality for every person that wishes to run in the race. I guarantee the Democrats I will accept the outcome without any complain”, Berisha said.
“You need to understand one thing: my return happened on March 6, it will not be undone if not with the Albanians’ votes. There were question marks, but that vote was Sali Berisha’s return”.

Te larguarit, qe jane me te shumte ne nivelet e dyta dhe poshte ne baze kurre sdo ta mbeshtetnin PD. Me non grata ka nje shprese. Edhe Berisha ka shume kundershtare, dhe sidomos pjesen e demokrateve qe mbeshtetin Bashen, por Berisha ka dhene prova se di te bashkepunoj dhe beje pakte edhe me kundershtaret me te vendosur. Keshtu te pakten tani ka nje shprese se opozitarizmi i vertete do rikthehet duke u bere zeri i shqiptareve qe nuk e duan qeverisjen aktuale. Faleminderit Yuri Kim!
