A government cabined gathers and decides to gift seafront state land, even the coast itself, to one of its members! It is no imagination; it didn’t’ happen in some African country either. It happened right in the middle of Europe.

The other day, the Albanian government decided to gift for 30 years a huge seafront land plot in Gjilekë, Himara, southern Albania, to a company named AGTCC Hotel Management. The company will construct there a touristic resort named Dreamades Luxury Suites.

Last March, the company had received from the Committee of Strategic Investments the status of a Strategic Investor. But, who stands behind AGTCC Hotel Management?

According to a document from the Albanian National Business Center (QKB), owner of AGTCC Hotel Management is a US citizen of Massachusetts, named Tawny Lin Grzych-Sutton. With no prior business experience and without the necessary financial sources to build a touristic resort, the Massachusetts woman, 30, managed to obtain the status of a strategic investor from the Albanian government, in addition to free land in one of the most coveted coastal areas in the Albania Riviera. Bingo!

The question that arises naturally is: what is the key to success for the American student of Epoka (Albanian private university)? The answer is simple. Ms. Sutton is merely a cover, disguising the real owner that is grabbing the coast of Himara.

AGTCC Hotel Management was found on June 25, 2021. The application for registration in QKB was filed by Iris Erebara. Ms. Erebara is the jurist of the AG TCC Company, with owner Artan Gaçi, the husband of the Albanian Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Olta Xhaçka. But the connections do not end here.

The address of AG TCC Hotel Management is a shop in the Kristi-Co building at the Dervish Bej Mitrovica Street in Tirana. In the same address, at the same shop there are also two other companies, named Peninsula Development, and Generate.

Peninsula Development has as an administrator Mr. Idlir Lopçi who is a former administrator of AG TCC, owned by Ms. Xhaçka’s family. The other company, Generate, is owned by Mr. Andi Canaj. He is an employee of Artan Gaçi’s AG TCC Company. At least he was until last June when he acted on behalf of the company.

In fact, Peninsula Development, Generate, and AGTCC Hotel Management are satellites of the real owner, that is taking the seafront land in Himara. That is the AG TCC Company that is under the ownership of the family of the Albanian Foreign Minister.

Lately the company has added the address Gjilekë, Himara among the places it exercises its business activity, exactly at the place where the resort Dreamades Luxury Suites will be built. To summarize: One day ago, Premier Edi Rama declared as a strategic investor his Foreign Minister and gifted her seafront state land, where a luxury resort will be built.
