Once again the doors of the Democratic Party headquarters were closed for members of the Committee for the Re-foundation of the Democratic Party who went there today for a meeting. Former Minister of Justice Aldo Bumçi said this is the first time ever in the party’s history that the building has locked its doors.  

“This building was never locked, not even in the worst years, not even in 1997 (the year of the civil unrest following the collapse of the pyramidal schemes - Syri)”, Bumçi told media reporters. For the first time in 30 years, Lulzim Basha’s party has locked its doors, has turned into a bunker. Whom does it serve? Tell me any good for the Democrats or the citizens that comes from the opposition turning itself into a bunker, a prison. It serves to no one but Basha”.

“Edi Rama will remain king as long as he (Basha) remains here. This is a criminal project to eliminate the opposition, but the opposition is alive, is standing, and on Saturday will free this bunker. The opposition must keep its doors open to establish the coalition that will cut Edi Rama’s days”, said Bumçi.
