The Albanian Constitutional Court will review on January 18, 2020 the decision of the parliament for the discharge of President Ilir Meta.

The parliament voted on June 9, 2021 to discharge the Head of State over charges of infringement of the Constitution and passed with 104 votes the report of the parliamentary investigative commission.

Now the Constitutional Court will have the final say over the parliament’s decision and whether President Meta will be impeached for the charges against him.
