Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha blamed Premier Edi Rama for the strike of air traffic controllers in Tirana’s Mother Theresa International Airport. Basha said Rama puts his own interests above Albanians’ interests.
The Democrat chief made his declaration in Lushnja, where he was reserved a warm welcome by the citizens. Basha said that on April 25 everyone will vote for change, underlining the votes are not for him or Rama, but for the children.
"On April 25, all together for the change. Vote number 9, the Democratic Party. A crucial moment for you and your families. On April 25, you will not vote for me or him, but for your children", Basha said.
"What is happening at the airport is the failure of a man who has put his interests above those of every Albanian. The hour is coming, the day of change is coming".
The flights at Mother Teresa Airport were suspended for 24 hours since Wednesday, due to the protest of the controllers who opposed the reduction of the salary.
