Rama gets mad at EU: You’re campaigning with the Democratic Party, quit putting your nose here

Albanian Premier Edi Rama reacted angrily at the participation of EU Commissioners in activities of the Democratic Party, where Chairman Lulzim Basha unfolded his program.

Rama said this is meddling in the electoral campaign.

His anger was addressed at EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel who was invited to speak in a Democratic Party activity for the education.

“Someone in Brussels must tell the Commissioners that are wasting the time of their jobs paid by European taxpayers making electoral video-conversations with Lulzim Basha that this is meddling in the domestic electoral campaign of an EU candidate country”, Rama wrote.

“In my knowledge, the European Commission does not have the habit to put its nose in electoral campaigns, and I’m waiting to learn it officially and publically from Brussels if I’m wrong and maybe the Commissioner actually have the right to choose sides when the peoples of Europe choose their governments”.
