Forty-six political parties will participate in the parliamentary elections of April 25, 2021 in Albania.

The Central Electoral Commission approved last nine electoral subjects that had applied within the legal deadline, whereas four parties were not admitted in the electoral race due to failure to provide in time the necessary documentation.

Besides the parties, CEC must also approve the pre-electoral coalitions, with February 24 set as the deadline by the Electoral Code.

The two decisions open way to the approval of the pattern of the ballot paper, an issue that has not been agreed upon by the parties.
