Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha met today with students of the University of Agriculture, repeating that his government’s biggest challenge will be returning the youth potential in a possibility of employment and development for the country.

Basha said that would refrain the youth from leaving the country.

“The first thing we must do is to absorb this extraordinary capacity, make it part of our plan for the development of the country, in order not to let it go to other countries. It’s the government’s duty to stop this national catastrophe of the youth exodus and this is our main priority”, the opposition leader told the students.

“All this huge potential of the Albanian youth must be put in function of our main goal that is the economic development and creating new jobs. Only through this can we bring an affordable living cost and improve the quality of life of all the Albanian families”.

“Only through this we can stop the youth emigration, make possible that foreign investors see Albania for what it really is, an extraordinary potential awaiting development. But, there is a big obstacle in the road to development and it is exactly this government that for eight years has made promises and kept none of them. It failed to reach progress even in one single filed of economy or development”, Basha declared.

Albania can turn to the path of development, but to do that first must correct its big mistake of 2013. For Basha, not making the change that Albanians need would be a fatal mistake.

“Repeating the same mistake would be madness. The mistake occurred in 2013, with the promises for 300,000 new jobs, education reform, it continued in 2017. Now there’s no more time to waste. Enough is enough! Now is time for change. Unchanging would have fatal consequences”, Basha warned.
