Albanian actress Zaida Çobo, the mother of the teenager who was beaten by police, has filed a civil case against the General Director of the Albanian State Police Ardi Veliu. The defendant showed a video of the bailiff holding a handgun as an example as not to grow up one’s child, but it turned out the footage was from a movie set last year. Çobo sued Veliu for damages to her image asking for a compensation payout of 1 million Albanian Lek (nearly US$9000).

State Police were caught on film beating up Çobo’s 15-year-old son at Tirana’s lake park because he broke lockdown.
