The Court of Durrës has refused to give the Mayor mandate to the Socialist Party candidate Valbona Sako. The later won the election of June 30 against the rival from Bindja Demokratike, Valbona Sakollari.

The Court ruled the elections were illegitimate, because the new party Bindja Demokratike registered for the elections of June 30 breaking the legal deadlines.
