Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha has warned the State Police after the abusive use of teargas against residents of the area known as Bregu i Lumit in Tirana. The residents did not allow the municipal workers to pull down their houses and livelihood and the police used teargas to force them out of their houseses.

Basha wrote that “all those who ordered, violated and attacked with teargas the citizens and their children in their in their own houses in a criminal way will be held responsible”.

“Violence, gas and terror from the police against the citizens in their homes. This government has betrayed the common people and Albania is in economic misery, with injustices and insecurity at every corner. I appeal to all Albanians to listen to the alarm bells and join altogether to give an end to this regime, to free justice and to ensure a government that works for the people”, Basha wrote on his Facebook page today.
