Leaders of the Albanian opposition have met officials of Tirana Police Department today following the arrests of several protesters.

LSI chairwoman Monika Kryemadhi said 14 young men have been arrested despite having done nothing wrong during the rally.

“We gave the ultimatum to the police to free the boys as soon as possible because they have not violated any laws. The police are being used to protect Edi Rama’s gangs. (Interior Minister) Lleshaj has become ridiculous”, Kryemadhi told media reporters after the meeting.

“I appeal to the State Police to arrest (former minister of Energy) Damian Gjiknuri; arrest anyone who has stolen the Albanians money”.
