Albanian Premier Edi Rama has declared his mansion in the village Surrel, east of Tirana, is worth 40 million Albanian Leks, nearly €320 thousand.
The spokeswoman of the Democratic Party (PD) Ina Zhupa said today Rama lives in luxury and that’s why he never thinks about the students or “290 thousand children that have only one meal per day”.
“Edi Rama has made the most coward choice by using his wife as a shield to all the accusations on his huge wealth”, Zhupa said.
“It’s time for Rama not to hide any longer behind his wife and be held accountable for his shameless luxury”.
She added that according to an OSCE document, Edi Rama had in 2015 a concealed wealth of €200 million. “Imagine what his concealed health could be now after having given everything in concessions to a fistful of his clients”.
“Albanians want to know why 290 thousand children have only one meal a day whereas their Prime Minister lives like a sultan amid of luxury in a mansion that the professionals evaluate as much as €2million”, Zhupa said in a press conference today.
