The Secretary for Foreing Affairs in the Democratic Party, Gerti Bogdani, said Albania’s vote in favor of the UN Resolution and against US President Donald Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as Israeli capital was a personal vote of Premier Edi Rama and not a vote of Albanian people.
“It is a personal vote, not the vote of a Prime Minister that should represent all Albanians and our national interests”, Bogdani writes today.
“No Albanian would vote like he did, which is clearly not representing any more the national interests”.
Bogdani added it is “the vote of a small man and a big ungrateful person”.
Bogdani also writes “it is a diplomatic gaffe”, a “low bargain, instructed by certain ‘philanthropists’ and ‘autocrats’ against Trump”, and “it is simply a shame, because it shows the ungratefulness of a small man to a big friend of our nation”.
