Head of the State Intelligence Service (SHISH) Visho Ajazi has resigned on Friday, sources from the President’s Office and the Prime Minister’s have confirmed.

While it was an expected and requested act from the Premier Minister’s office, it remains a surprise for the President’s.

The same sources said the resignations comes after PM Rama’s huge pressure on the SHISH chief, connected to the investigations and reports SHISH has made on drugs traffic.

When all were expecting former Interior Minister Tahiri’s arrest over his implication in drugs traffic, following Italian tapping, it was Visho Ajazi who surrendered.

Apparently Habilaj-Rama-Tahiri and the drugs-money-sponsored journalist are in advantage for the moment.

After receiving the news, Premier Edi Rama has headed to the President’s Office, where he will meet Head of State Ilir Meta.
