Opposition leader Sali Berisha has called for the dissolution of Parliament.

Speaking before the final plenary session, Berisha said this is a demand shared by all Albanians.

"Parliament is convening under siege.

Its only responsible act is to declare its own end, dissolve itself, and clear the way for the solution sought by all of Albania's youth and citizens.

Any other action is entirely meaningless.

That is why today we are calling for this parliament to declare its own dissolution.

I repeat, this is the only right decision Parliament can make today," Berisha said.
