Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha has commented the agreement Rama-Basha and the voices about a possible coalition PD-PS after the elections.

Asked by journalist in the TV show “Studio e hapur” on News 24 is such a thing could happen, Berisha answered: “My position does not allow me to make predictions. These are issues of the parties’ leaders. The point saying the leaders of the majority and the opposition must continue the dialogue after the elections too is of an utmost importance”.

“Dialogue does not mean co-governance. It is important for the country. I have shown my point of view about the coalitions. I am out of role to decide”, Berisha said.

The former leader of the Democratic Party added he is not an admired of big coalitions, but was quick to explain it is no longer his competence to decide.

“I am not in favour of big coalitions, but let me not advance in my thoughts, because this is not my competence. This model of a broad-based coalition cannot be applied here. In Germany it goes smoothly, but those people there obey the law. I don’t know and don’t believe there is a plan for a broad-based coalition”.
