A delegation of Members of the U.S. House of Representatives paid a two-day visit to Tirana, where they met all country leaders but Premier Edi Rama. They met incumbent President Bujar Nishani, President-elect Ilir Meta, Foreign Minister Ditmir Bushati and Democratic Party chairman Lulzim Basha.
US Embassy in Tirana announced the US Congressmen and Albanian politicians talked about the political crisis in the country and other issues.
Syri.net asked why the US Congressmen did not meet Prime Minister Edi Rama. Sources from the government explained Premier Rama is currently in Venice, Italy, where he will open an exhibition of his pictures.
The US Delegation came to Albania as part of its Balkan mission to enquire about the job of US Embassies in the region and the possible interference of progressive billionaire George Soros. It is hard to understand how the Prime Minister avoided a meeting with the US Congressmen to open an exhibition in Venice.
The US delegation left Albania today to continue their tour in the other Balkans countries.
