Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said in the meeting of the party leadership yesterday that the opposition front in Albania is of utmost importance for the electoral races and for powerful protests against the regime.

Berisha said protests are the hardest process but they define what he called “the separation from the regime”.

“No one should have any illusions that the creation of the opposition front, the opening of the Democratic Party and its analysis (for the loss in the local elections) will make possible reaching our goal without powerful protests against the regime. We have 100 arguments to prove to the citizens this regime will not go only with votes. Edi Rama is one of the most discredited persons. The biggest corruption affairs, his links with criminal gangs, the electoral slaughter, and the McGonigal affair follow him like dark shadows”, said Berisha.
