Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha accused today former FBI senior agent Charles McGonigal and his team of having tried to extort Albanian businessman Ylli Ndroqi. Berisha officially requested from the FBI and the US Congress to investigate the activities of US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim.

“The truth is that the history of extortions is not only the action of McGonigal and his infamous associates Duçka and Neza. It is more extensive. As the former MP Myslim Murrizi openly and courageously denounced, after 2019 there was talk of blacklists and names were slandered. Gabriel Escobar, Yuri Kim, Lulzim Basha, Edi Rama. This is the undeniable truth. This reality was not only denied by Yuri Kim, but she called businessmen and threatened them with blacklisting if they supported Sali Berisha. Wolf packs were unleashed on Albanian businessmen to extort them in the most inhuman way. US visas were used in this function by Yuri Kim. Once again, I call on the Department of State Inspector General to investigate its activities and those of the persons who dealt with the visas. I call on the FBI to investigate the Albanian file in every detail”, Berisha said in his weekly press conference.

“If Agron Neza and Dorian Duçka extorted a number of businessmen, they did using the FBI name. We will contribute, we will try. The investigative commission will be created whether Edi Rama wants it or not. Once again, I condemn this ugly, shameful activity".
