Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said today Premier Edi Rama intends the criminalization of the Albanian economy through the tax amnesty. Berisha said this is a giant process of money laundering and urged the MPs not to pass the bill.

“His insistence is an actual punishment for all Albanians, a heavy blow for their European perspective”, said Berisha.

“Every MP that votes in favor of such a criminal act, either directly or indirectly becomes a member of a criminal organization that Europe has never seen. For this, my appeal to every MP is to reject disgustingly the infamous tax amnesty project of Edi Rama and his mobster clan as too dangerous for the country’s security and for Albania’s future”.
