Former Albanian President Ilir Meta, now chairman of the Freedom Party, reacted after the decision of the government to restore gambling and sporting bets in the country. Speaking in a press conference, Meta said Premier Edi Rama was incoherent when he banned gambling and now he restores it.

“He is a shameless person that banned gambling with the excuse of defending the Albanian families from the criminal activity and now he allows it with the excuse of helping the sports activity. What kept him from helping sports in the last ten years with exaggerated expenses for the waste incinerators? He simply wants his family to have the monopoly on the gambling industry. He is an adventurer, he thinks he can gamble on the country’s future”, said Meta.
