Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha exposed today a new corruptive affair of Edi Rama’s government, worth millions of Euros, with the excuse of the energy crisis. Berisha said Rama is depleting fast the cascade of the river Drin only to excuse the installation of two private hydro power plants in Vlora.

“Rama is having the Drin cascade depleted incredibly fast. With each day, the cascade lowers by more than 50 centimeters. Today the cascade is 274 meters, when by regulation it can never be below 284 meters before September 1. It is forbidden by law”, Berisha said in a press conference.

“Rama is justifying this ugly crime telling Albanians there is no energy in the stock market, and he aims installing these two plants in Vlora. I want to inform you that these plants have been operating for 20 consecutive years in Khulna, Bangladesh and they have not been functioning since 2018”.
