Democrat MP and deputy chairman of the Democratic Party Luciano Boçi commented the incident at the military mechanic plant in Gramsh where two Russian nationals and one Ukrainian passed the surrounding walls and attacked two Albanian soldiers. Boçi remembered the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the Albanian government to ban the entrance of Russians in Albania, also the request of former Premier Sali Berisha for the annulment of all the visas issued to Russian citizens, but Premier Edi Rama did the exact opposite and opened all the country’s doors to them.

“Sali Berisha requested the annulment of visas for the Russian citizens. When he addressed through Skype to the Albanian parliament, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had only request for Edi Rama: Preventing the Russian citizens from entering the Albanian territory”, wrote Boçi.

“After that extraordinary session, Sali Berisha requested on behalf of the Democratic Party to the Albanian government and Edi Rama not to allow the Russians tourists entering Albania while the war in Ukraine is still going on. Edi Rama rejected the request, opening every border crossing point to Russian nationals. The institutions that are tasked with the national security are in full alert after thousands of Russian nationals have entered Albania during the summer. Whose responsibility is it in this case? Rama is a danger to Albania”.
