Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha said in a party leadership meeting today that the Albanian government has profited more than €340 million in taxes generated from the raise prices and despite that has decided to reduce the economic aid for the classes in need.

Berisha said the government is detached from the reality and its citizens.

“The government has reduced the economic aid with 2%. The government has no morals and takes every decision as if this people does not feed, dress, move. Now they are barging on the businesses with the new fiscal package to bankrupt them passively”, said Berisha.

“This is a real dramatic situation that concerns the daily food. And yet they continue to govern with no concerns. After pocketing all the powers, Edi Rama does no longer communicate with the people. He communicates with the sky. Never ever from the times of the dictatorship have we had such a regime detached from the citizens like this government is”.
