Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha repeated today his call for a massive national rally in the Albanian capital Tirana on July 7 against Edi Rama’s government. This will be the first protest rally of the opposition ever since Berisha returned as the Chairman of the Democratic Party after his resignation in 2013.

In a press conference in Tirana on Friday, Berisha said the protest will be also against the Open Balkans, or – as he called it – Putin’s Balkans.

“Let us give on July 7 a deserved answer to the Open Balkans or the Putin’s Balkans”, said Berisha. “Let us all demonstrate together our allegiance to our Western orientation. For Albanians, the EU integration is the best dream and the most brilliant future”.
