The Albanian police have seized a haul of 45.5 kilos of cocaine in a meat container coming from Brazil in the port of Durrës. A Socialist Party member of Tirana’s Municipal Council, Egert Vargu, is among the arrested persons, suspected as involved in the international drugs traffic.

Vargu, 39, is a customs agent in the port customs office, also a member of the Budget and Finance Commission in the Municipality of Tirana in addition to being a City councilor.
