Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha warned Albanians today they need to face a fierce enemy which is the US billionaire George Soros.

“We should have no illusions. We must tell the truth to Albanians. Soros is an enemy to the Albanians’ interest”, Berisha said in a press conference today.

“Wasn’t he a promoter of Kosovo’s divisions? On whose account is he doing that? The borders have been recognized by the international court. For whom is Soros working? He’s working against Albanians and for Belgrade. After failing with the (proposal of) land swap (between Serbia and Kosovo) he showed the next project. He is the main promoter of the Open Balkans project”.

“Now that (Russian Foreign Minister) Lavrov expressed his support for the project, will Soros hide that he is working with the Russians for the destabilization of the Balkans? He cannot hide it. Every project supported by them destabilizes the Balkans”, said the former Albanian Prime Minister.

“We will never accept our national interests being kicked by anyone. Some might say he is a powerful person. I’m telling you no one is more powerful than the peoples that decide to fight for their own fates”, promised Berisha.
