The Albanian Democratic Party has registered to participate in the Congress of the European People’s Party, EPP, debunking definitely the voices spread by government-controlled media that EPP had suspended it following the dismissal of former chairman Lulzim Basha and of the whole party leadership appointed by him.

Former Democrat MP Gerti Bogdani posted a picture from the Congress.

“It’s always nice to be among old and new friends in the big EPP family”, Bogdani wrote.

Asked by whose side will EPP be, Bogdani wrote: “By the side of Democrats and democracy”.

Democrat MPs Belind Këlliçi, Jorida Tabaku, and Albana Vokshi are participating in the Congress.
