Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha responded to questions why no foreign ambassador to Albania has congratulated him for the election as chairman of the party. Berisha said such a thing hasn’t happened before either.

“I don’t remember any ambassador congratulating me when I have been elected other times”, Berisha told media reporters.

Asked about the attitude of the European People’s Party regarding the situation at the Democratic Party, Berisha said they are keeping a neutral attitude.

“EPP for the moment is keeping a neutral attitude. But, our voice will be heard at EPP”, promised Berisha.
