The historic Democrat leader Sali Berisha said in the National Assembly of the Democratic Party that Foltorja, his talking tour across the country to meet citizens and Democrat supporters, was imposed on him and his followers.

“It was imposed on us because we were going from one defeat to another. From one failure to another. All that for the fault of an irresponsible leader that considered the party as a private entrepreneurship. He traded the values and principles for deals with the government”, said Berisha for the former disgraced chairman Lulzim Basha.

“This was not an easy way. In the latest months we were confronted with all the wildness of the narco-state, with the billions of drugs and crime money. We were confronted with the disgusting set-ups of the former party leader, but the truth is we were confronted with extraordinary efforts from George Soros and his mafia for the destruction of the Albanian opposition, to transform it into a fig leaf for the Albanian left and Edi Rama. But all these efforts failed”.

“I’d like to tell those that think they can keep a pseudo-opposition standing that they’re wrong: an opposition is neither appointed nor delegated. The opposition is moral. Here we are today, a real opposition, standing and ready for battle”.

“I was sanctioned from the US Department of State on the grounds of allegations for which there is absolutely no fact or proof. I was sanctioned though George Soros’ and Edi Rama’s corruptive lobbying. If anyone can show a fact, a document, the smallest evidence against Sali Berisha, I’ll be ready for any sanction against my person”.
