The historic leader of the Albanian Democrats Sali Berisha announced the meeting of the Commission for the Re-founding of the Democratic Party tomorrow to decide regarding the March 22 Assembly.

“The Commission for the Re-founding of the Democratic Party will gather tomorrow to analyze the electoral process and take decisions for March 22”, Berisha announced.

Asked about the possibility of a new political party if Lulzim Basha doesn’t let hold of the Democratic Party logo and seal, Berisha rejected the possibility: “There will be no new party, this is the Democratic Party, the real opposition. The pluralism cannot be taken hostage by a man with the most peculiar standards in Albania’s politic history”.

“It is undeniable that the former head of the Democratic Party had only one goal: his chair, his business, and his deals with Edi Rama. That has been proved, but that time has passed. We are adamant there are no free elections with Edi Rama, but we will do everything to guarantee free elections”, said Berisha.
