MP Lulzim Basha joined votes yesterday with Premier Edi Rama’s Socialist majority for the extension of the mandates of the judicial vetting mandates, which he personally had called a Mafioso project in 2017.

Former Premier Sali Berisha posted a video on his Facebook page showing Basha’s attitudes then and now. Berisha wrote Basha has been taken hostage by Rama: “When you are taken hostage you cannot represent even yourself”.

The video footage shows Basha declaring in 2017 that “the judicial vetting project is a Mafioso project that involves high diplomats in Tirana on Edi Rama’s account. The EU experts have been taken hostage”.

Meanwhile, yesterday Basha declared this “Mafioso project” must be given “the chance to correct itself”.
