Chairwoman of the Socialist Movement for Integration (LSI) Monika Kryemadhi said she regrets not trusting former chief of the opposition Lulzim Basha. She revealed President Ilir Meta, who is her husband, was skeptical about Basha but she did not believe him.

Speaking to the television News 24, she said Basha lied LSI and the opposition about the relinquishment of the parliamentary mandates in February 2019 and for the boycott of the municipal elections of that year.

“I don’t want to deal with the past. However, I have one regret only, for not believing Ilir Meta considering Lulzim Basha. It looks like lying in the entire political philosophy is a life standard for him”, Kryemadhi said. “From the relinquishment of MP mandates, which I was expecting to be supported by Merkel and going to snap elections. Also for the boycott of the local elections I was expecting support from EPP and CDU which did not happen”.
