Democrat MP Lulzim Basha continues to ignore the will of 44,000 Democratic Party members that voted for his dismissal in the referendum of December 18, as well as the deadline of leaving the chairman’s office until January 5, set by the Committee for the Re-Foundation of the Democratic Party.

Basha told media reporters in a press conference today he does not intend to leave the party office and nothing will happen on January 5. He added he is prepared for every situation.

Basha gave the same answer when asked about the protest of January 8, 2022 of the Democrat members against the usurpation of the party offices by a dismissed chairman.

“Nothing will happen. The Democratic Party is prepared for every situation and – in a year that promises to be decisive for the definite separation of the country from the transition period – we will not allow the Bermuda’s Triangle to move the Albanians’ focus from the battle with Rama’s regime and his crutches to a confrontation among Democrats for the interests of a single person”, said Basha. The discredited chairman has alleged there is an alliance against him, consisting of former Premier Sali Berisha, President Ilir Meta and Premier Edi Rama, which he has dubbed as the Bermuda’s Triangle.
