When will the dismissed chairman Lulzim Basha be ousted from the Democratic Party offices? This was the question addressed to former Premier Sali Berisha by host Ylli Rakipi on his TV show

"Të Paekspozuarit" (The Unexposed) on MCN TV.

Berisha said Basha must free his office because the MPs are not entitled of offices in the party headquarters. He added the members will escort Basha out of the quarters, because they are “the executors of their own decision”.

"The Democratic Party members will escort Basha politely outside the headquarters definitely. They are the executors of their own decisions. Sali Berisha has no business with that”, said the former Chairman of the Democratic Party.

“We gathered for the last protest, many persons wanted to oust him from the office. I said ‘no, we’ll consign him an official letter. We don’t need to lose seriousness’. We told him ‘you are an MP, release the office, because the MPs are not entitled to have office in the party building’”.

“It could have been done sooner, but we gave him time. Everything has been done following the rules in a civil manner. Can Sali Berisha stop this? Absolutely not! No one can stop this, because it is a decision of the membership”, Berisha said, referring to the decision of the National Assembly of December 11 to fire chairman Basha, ratified in the members’ referendum one week later.
