Discharged chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha received in his office today the ambassadors of the United States, European Union, France, Germany, and United Kingdom.

The ambassadors were invited by Basha, who is in a political crisis after the majority of National Assembly delegates voted to discharge him last Saturday.

However, sources told Syri.net, Basha bragged telling the foreign diplomats he has the support of 95% of the Democrats. Then, one of the ambassadors said the meeting was meaningless if that was really the case.

“The ambassador asked Basha for the support he has in the Democratic Party base. Basha responded he feels 95% of the members support him. After that, the ambassador said ‘it seems to be no problem and maybe our meeting does not make a lot of sense’”, the source told Syri.
