Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha warned Edi Rama’s Socialist government with protests across the country, saying they could have started as early as December 18.
Berisha said Rama was saved by the referendum for the discharge of the Democratic Party Chairman Lulzim Basha which is scheduled to take place on that day.
“National protests are an option. December 18 was also an option, but the referendum needs to be done. Rama was saved by the referendum for the discharge of his hostage Basha, otherwise he would have had the entire Albania in Tirana. No one can stop the revolution”, Berisha said.
