Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha, the initiator of the movement for the strengthening of the Democratic Party which he led for many years as chairman, three days prior the extraordinary Democrat National Assembly promised to the Democrats and Albanian citizens that he will make the party more open and united.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party branches in the country’s districts are introducing every day the names of the delegates that have decided to join the Assembly of December 11, ignoring Chairman Lulzim Basha’s call to gather one week later, on December 18.

In a message posted on his Facebook page, Berisha thanked his followers that are the majority of the Assembly delegates. The historic leader also repeated his call for all the Democrat delegates to participate on December 11, which is also the birthday of the party.

“I’d appeal to all the delegates to join us on the birthday of the Democratic Party. Let’s go united towards the Victory!”
